Abstract

625,212. Clothes pegs. WHEELER, W. May 9, 1947, No. 12551. [Class 44] A clothes peg formed of a single length of wire has a main U-shaped portion 15 of which the limbs 13, 14 are reversely bent to form gripping parts 17, 18 and diverging parts 22, 23 to give a lead to the line entering between the gripping portions. The top of one of the gripping portions is bent over to form a stop 25. In the form shown the stop 25 has a loop 27 sliding on the limb 14 and the gripping portion 18 has a loop 28 sliding on the portion 25. In other forms, one or the other of the loops may be omitted or the part 25 may be formed with a broad loop to embrace .the limb 14 and the upstanding portion 18. The wire may have a rust-proof casing, e.g. of plastic material.
