Abstract

322,051. Legge, J. E., and Legge & Co., Ltd., J. Oct. 19, 1928. Locks, cases for.-A casing additional to the ordinary lock case is provided for use with a rim lock to improve its appearance, or with a mortise lock to allow it to be applied as a rim lock. The casing, Fig. 3, has a flange with holes K for the affixing screws &c. and apertures I adapted to register respectively with the latch spindle C and keyhole D of the lock shown in Fig. 1 when the case is applied thereto after the lock has been secured in place by screws &c. passed through apertures E. A detachable flanged keyhole escutcheon, shown separate, Fig. 5, can be fitted from inside the case in either of the apertures I so that the lock, Fig. 1, may be applied either way round and the case adapted thereto.
