Abstract

321,802. Jeffreys &. Co., Ltd., J., Cooling, J. W., and Stirzaker, H. A. Oct. 25, 1928. Forced ventilation; air, heating and cooling.- Air is delivered to theatres &c. by means of a fan A and extracted by a second fan H and the streams of fresh air and vitiated air are adapted to pass through a heat interchanger F in adjacent paths at right-angles to each other in such manner that the two streams do not mix. The fresh air is drawn in through tubes f<1> in the casing of the interchanger F, and the exhaust duct h' is connected with the casing so that the vitiated air passes at right-angles to the tubes. The air supply may be conditioned by means of a heater, cooler, washer, humidifier, or dehumidifier either before or after passing through the interchanger. The exhaust air may bye-pass the interchanger under certain atmospheric conditions and discharge direct to the outside air.
