Abstract

318,704. Rogers, W. G. July 10, 1928. Pneumatic sucker fastenings for securing licence card holders to wind-screens of motor vehicles comprise a rigid disc support c mounted within the rim of a rubber suction-device a and resilient means, acting to produce a partial vacuum, located between the device a and support c. As shown, the resilient means consists of an annular rib e formed on member a and bearing on support c. Fig. 4 shows an alternative arrangement having a spring h kept in position by a boss i formed in member a. The support has perforations c<2>, g<2> to allow escape of air in applying the device. The surface a<2> in contact with the screen f is serrated.
