Spray carburettors.- To ensure that the correct area of opening of the outlet 8 of a slowrunning passage is exposed when the throttle valve 2 is in its closed position, packing pieces 4 are secured to the throttle disc adjacent the outlet. These packing pieces are inserted between shoulders 5, are secured by a screw 7 and serve to adjust the thickness of the controlling edge in the vicinity of the outlet 8.
