317,445. Kerb-Konus Ges. Aug. 16, 1928, [Convention date]. Cotters.-Nuts are locked by slipping a collar 1 over the bolt 2 and inserting a cotter 5 through aligned holes in the collar and bolt. The cotter is formed with bifurcated end 6 which on engagement with a wedge-shaped projection 8 on the remote side of the collar is splayed to lock the cotter. Removal is effected by inserting a thin chisel through a slit 11 in the wedge, and gripping the neck 5<b>.
