Abstract

317,016. Langford, F. T. Aug. 8, 1928, [Convention date]. Rails, securing to sleeper; chairs; chair keys. - A rail 1 is secured by wedge pieces 14 anchored to chair or tie-plate at 15 and saddles 17 which are knocked up toward the thick ends of the pieces 14. The saddles may be secured in final position by deformation under the pull of bolts 19. The chair is formed with one or two inclined surfaces 4, 5 between which and the rail flange stepped complementary pieces 6, 10 are placed. The device may be arranged as hadf-chair to be used on both sides of a. rail flange and may be secured to wood, concrete or rolled section sleepers. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), states that the pieces 6, 10 and surfaces 4, 5 may be omitted. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
