Duplex telegraphs. -In duplex telegraphy a transformer Ua, Ub for received or transmitted signals is differentially connected between a line a, b and its artificial balance k. As shown a receiving-relay Er is connected to the secondary winding of the differential transformer, and a transmitting transformer Us is connected to centre tappings on the primary coils. According to a modification the position of the receiving-relay and a transmitting- key T are interchanged (Fig. 2, not shown).
