Circuits for piezoelectric instruments.- Relates to the use of " electret " plates of resins waxes, or asphalt, containing powdered piezo crystals, for microphonic work, and consists in means for imposing a biasing potential calculated to maintain the original polarity of the " electret " at a constant value. 'Where the " electret polarity normally reverses after manufacture, the biasing voltage is applied only after this change has taken place. As shown, the " electret " P is biassed by a battery B, the voltage of which is kept off the grid of the amplifier R by a blocking condenser C.
