Check-lift valves. - In a dye vat, to control automatically the pressure of the liquid in either direction of flow, an either-way spring valve is arranged on the apertured partition 16, consisting of two plates 19, 20 pressed together by an adjustable spring 22 on a spindle 21, the plates 19, 20 having two sector-shaped openings and the openings of one plate being at right-angles to the openings of the other.
