315,283. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). April 4, 1928. Addition to 296,145, [Class 91, Oils &c.]. Carbon papers, ink ribbons, and like transfer materials.-A montan wax composition in which the free acids are in part esterified by glycerol or glycol, and in part converted to the calcium or a mixed lead-potassium salt, by the method described in the parent Specification, is mixed with a montan wax highly esterified by glycerol, glycol, polyglycerol, polyglycol, propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol or mixtures of these, to yield a product containing less than 25 per cent of salts, which can be used for the production of colouring masses for carbon duplicating papers. In examples, the wax composition is mixed with turpentine, Japan wax, beeswax, paraffin wax, soap, colophony, potassium carbonate and borax.
