Abstract

315,247. Luxford, W. April 10, 1928. Couplings.-A device which may be provided with a terminal and used for earthing purposes comprises a springy sheet-metal clip a, the extremities a<1> of which are bent inwardly to bite into a pipe when a plate e, located within the clip, is forced down upon the same by a pressure screw c. The screw c is threaded in a boss b on the clip and the plate e is retained in position in the clip by lugs g formed thereon and adapted to engage slots h in the clip, while the edges of the extremities a<1> of the clip are preferably serrated or provided with sharp teeth a<2>.
