Brackets.-A lazytongs bracket, for supporting a telephone receiver, is connected to a support through a pair of short links which terminate at a point in the middle line of the lazytongs whereby the bracket can be drawn downwardly. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3 the end links of the bracket are pivotally connected to a pair of short links 15 pivoted together at 16<a> to a clip 16 on a support 17 so that the bracket when extended can be inclined downwardly, the inclination being limited by the abutment of the lower end of one link 15 with an adjustable screw 18 carried by the pillar. To hold the bracket in its collapsed position springs 19, one on each side, are attached to the clip 16 and to a pin 13<b> on the bracket, the pin 13b being received in a notch 15<c> in the lower link 15 when the bracket is collapsed. The receiver is carried by clips 9 supported by links 11, 14, lower link 14 being slotted for adjustable connection with the bracket so that the receiver can be set vertical for the desired downward inclination of the bracket. In a modification shown in Fig. 7, the bracket consists of two sets of lazytongs 13<d>, 13<e> connected by a pair of short links 15e, 15<d>, pivoted together and to a link 24, which also connects the two sets of lazytongs. The lazytongs 13<d> is attached to the support 17 the upper end being pivoted to fixed clip 16 on the support and the lower end secured to a sliding clip 20 which embraces the upright. A spring 22 is arranged on the support between a sliding sleeve 23 and the clip 20. The receiver is carried by the free end of the lazytongs 13<e>.
