Locking nuts. - In a nut which is locked by the jamming of a grooved roller against the bolt threads, a hole 14 is provided through which a pin can be inserted to rock the roller into a position with its axis at right-angles to the thread. The release of the nut is thus effected, the grooves 8 on the roller 7 then lying parallel with the threads on the bolt.
