Pneumatic conveyers.-In air-current apparatus for supplying pulverulent fuel to burners, the fuel and air mixture is passed through a conduit a, having a part a<1> of rectangular section and fitted with vertical baffles e and with pivoted flaps k, k<1>, K<2> which may be adjusted by levers o to control or cut off the fuel supply to any of the pipes l, l<1>, l<2> leading to the burners. The baffles e are arranged, as shown, in echelon formation and are formed with screwed parts f by means of which they are adjustably mounted in the top wall of the conduit a. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the conduit a is of rectangular section throughout its length and is fitted, near the inlet end and adjacent the lower wall, with an additional horizontal baffle .i.
