Abstract

3.11,153. Ernst, G. A. Aug. 13, 1928. Trusses.-A truss comprises a flat body spring: curved to encircle approximately two-thirds of the body, the front free end of the spring being adjustably connected to a second spring which carries at its ends the two pads for supporting the rupture. The flat body spring 2 may be enclosed in a spring rubber or other belt 6. Its downwardly curved, free front end 1 projects beyond the belt 6 and is secured at 3, by a pin and slot connection, to the second spring 4. The pads 5 are adjustably mounted on each end of the spring 4 by pin and slot connections. The free end of the belt may be secured to a stud. 9 on one of the pads 5 by means of the holes 8, or any other convenient means may be used.
