[Class 81 (ii).] A device for uniting the edges of wounds comprises patches a adapted to be affixed at each side of the wound and connected together by a pliable bridge member b offering a certain resistance to compression and tension stresses, and adapted to be given and to maintain a definite shape. By deformation of the bridge b, the patches can be made to recede from or approach each other.
