Abstract

311,046. Smith, W. B. March 16, 1928. Bags; tool bags.-A cycle tool bag or similar case or bag is composed of a strip metal base portion, Fig. 5, comprising the bottom and ends, and a flexible part of leather &c., Fig. 6, comprising the front, back, and cover portions. The flexible part is secured to the edges of the metal end portions by means of separate clinching strips h, Fig. 3, the part which underlies the metal bottom being held in place by turning thereover the depending flanges e, f, of the bottom. The free edge of the cover part g<5> has a metal binding g<8>, and across the back portion is secured a strengthening piece j, Fig. 2, riveted to the metal ends and serving for the attachment of the suspension straps x. The flap is pierced at y to co-act with a fastener on the front part.
