Abstract
310,978. Trane, R. N. May 4, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Electric radiators.-A radiator comprises a tube T having a multiplicity of fins F and containing a removable heating element 38. The element is provided with a screwed flange and is held in position by a union 37. The resistance coil may be in the form of a double spiral. In a modifica. tion the heating element comprises a carborundum rod carried by plugs arranged in the tube. The spaces at the end of the fins are closed at the side of the radiator by plates 85 to form vertical air flues between the fins. Apart from the heating element, the radiator is identical in construction with the radiator described in Specification 269,851, [Class 64 (ii), Heating systems &c.]. If the heating element is removed hot fluid may be passed through the tube T as described in the Specification referred to. Instead of a tube T ih the form shown two straight tubes not communicating with one another may be provided.
