Valves.-A rotary inlet and exhaust, vaJve comprises a sleeve 4 working over a fixed core 7 which is divided by a partition 10 into inlet and exhaust c o m p a r tments 11 and 12 respectively, each of which is formed with a series of ports 8 or 9 co-operating with similar sets of ports in the rotating sleeve 4 and in the casing 3. The inlet pipe is connected at 14, and the exhaust pipe at 15.
