309,717. Bentley, L. March 26, 1928. Removing wheels from shaffs.-In a device for removing wheels, pulleys &c. from shafts of the kind comprising a thrust screw working in a boss carrying radiating arms adapted to receive slidably mounted dog supporting members with threaded stems engaging the dog members and provided with lock nuts for the latter, each dog member A is provided with two or more jaws B, C. Stirrup or shackle members T are provided for use in conjunction with the dog members for removing wheels &c. held by a number of security bolts W, the base U of the stirrup members T having holes V to engage the bolts W; the jaws B which engage the saddle parts Y of the stirrup members are turned outwardly so that the dog supporting members G are positioned on the radial arms A<1> nearer the thrust screw C'.
