Abstract

308,767. Limendoll, A. E. March 31, 1928, [Convention date]. Hand and foot actuation.-A brake pedal depressor for use in holding the brake applied during testing and adjusting comprises a foot 26 and tube 25 adapted to receive a screwed rod 27, a screw 30 engaging a longitudinal slot in the rod to prevent relative turning of rod and tube. A hand nut 28<1> serves for moving the screws in and out of the tube, a slide 31 being pushed down to engage a slot and lock the tube and nut in any particular adjustment. In use, the foot 26 is placed under the pedal, and the head 28 against the driver's seat, the depressor being adjusted to depress the pedal sufficiently.
