Bichromated colloid processes.-The images on diapositives or negatives intended particularly for the chromate copying process are coloured by a medium which absorbs actinic rays, in order to preserve in the copies the contrasts of the original when printing under a strong source of light. The image portions may be coloured red or green. The, effect may be enhanced by colouring the the image and non-image portions in known manner with different colours, say red and green. The colours may be mordanted, and examples of mordant colours are described. Laterally-inverted diapositives or negatives may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 24607/13, 738/15, 156,691, and 206,209.
