Abstract

Kinematograph picture films; lantern slides.- For projecting one at a time a number of positives superposed on the same plate or film, each of the positives is coloured differently from the others, the colours being so chosen that by suitable selection of the colour of the projecting light only one of the images is projected, and therefore by changing the colour of the light the images can be projected one at a time. For example, the printing may be effected witih the aid of gelatinous inks of different selected colours. In the case of a photographic plate, the first positive may be toned a particular colour by means of a bath or by tinting, and then covered by a fresh sensitive coating on which the second positive is produced and toned in a different colour and so on. The process may be ,applied to phonographic plates or kinematograph films and the positives may be applied to one side only or to both sides of the plate or film. The projection may be effected either by transmitted or by reflected light.
