Abstract

306,026. Wahl, K. Feb. 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Colour photographh. - Transparent colour positives are produced from a single negative on a support coated on both sides with a non-silver sensitizing material capable of being differentially hardened, for example, bichromated colloid. According to one method, the film is exposed on one side to a negative and the other side to a positive made from said negative, printing being in register and a light absorbing intermediate layer being provided to prevent penetration of the copying light. Each side is then coloured separately. With a black and white negative, a two colour positive is obtained. With a halftone negative blends of colours are obtainable where the half-tones overlap. In a modified process, the negative and or positive for printing may be differentially hardened colloid images independently obtained from a single original negative. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) colour negatives or positives therefrom or selections of these may be used for printing on opposite sides. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
