Frame construction; springs, arrangement of. - A side-car for motor-cycles comprises a T- shaped frame 4 consisting of two halves pressed from sheet steel and welded together, the longitudinal tubular member of the T being connected to the frame of the motor-cycle by means of tubes 1, 2 and a fitting 1<a>, while the cross tubular member carries at each end a leaf spring 9 for supporting the side-car body, the outer end of the cross member also carrying a leaf spring 11, the other end of which is bolted to a bearing member 13 on an axle 14, so as to control the swinging movements of the latter about a pivot 15 on the frame 4. The springs 9 are connected together by cross-rods 10. The swinging axle 14 carries a wheel-carrying member 17, to which a mudguard may be attached by means of bolts 19.
