Abstract

307,597. Radaelli, R. Feb. 9, 1928. Lids; jackets.-Apparatus for keeping plates of cooked foot &c. hot or cold during transport comprises a vessel 3 with a jacket space 5 for a heating or cooling liquid, preferably surrounded by insulation 4 such as silicate cotton, sawdust or felt, and a plate rack attached to a depending flange 9 of a lid 10 of the vessel. The rack may consist of gapped or complete rings 13 retained in the hooked ends of lugs 12 struck up from vertical bars 8 secured to the lid. The lid is retained closed by pivoted or other catches 16. A filling plug 18 for the jacket space is provided.
