Hydraulic transmission of power.-In a hydraulic clutch of the kind having members B, E formed with cups or pockets b, e, cooled liquid is conveyed through passages b<1> in the vanes separating adjacent cups in either member and to the centres of the cups where the pressure is at a minimum, the heated liquid being discharged through outlets b<2> at or near the periphery. Quick-acting outlet valves K operated by levers L or in any other manner may be provided. Specifications 16773/13, 24949/10, and 243,887, [all in Class 106 (ii), Dynamometers &c.are referred to.
