Abstract

306,572. Johansson, C. A. Sept. 28, 1928. Window appliances.- A pulley furnished with means for retarding the descent of the load and suitable for use as a fire escape, comprises a pendulum 5 pivoted at 4 near its lower end and coacting at its upper end with a guide 7 concentric with the pivot, and a starwheel 10 integral with the pulley 9 and coacting with a guide 11 having contact parts 12 concentric with the pivot 4 and a recess 13 of sufficient size to permit the turning of the wheel during the oscillations of the pendulum. The rope 16 is prevented from slipping by rollers 14, 15. Specification 6451/14 is referred to.
