Abstract

335,382. McMillan, L., and Kennedy, T., D. Oct. 2, 1929. Fair-leads.-A mooring chock comprises a main standard 1 having a cylindrical orifice in which is rotatably mounted a member 5 having bearing lugs 10, 11 extending therefrom, a pulley 13 mounted between the lugs, and a cable retaining block 16 pivoted at 17 to the lugs. A withdrawable pin 18 extends through the lugs and an aperture near the lower ends of the block. A counterweight 15 mounted between extensions 14 of the member 5 balances the pulley 13.
