Abstract

305,756. Clark, W. E., C. Dec. 8, 1927. Springs and axles, arrangement of; turning arrangements.-k stay 14 is provided to prevent relative lateral movement between the otherwise independent, wheel axles 9 which are substantially in alignment and each of which carries a driving wheel and two longitudinal springs 12. This arrangement may be applied to the rear of a fourwheeled heavy motor vehicle with or without a two-wheeled trailer. The longitudinal frame members 1 of the vehicle are connected by springs 6 and shackles 5 to the transverse girder 2 which are connected to short longitudinal members 13 carrying the springs 12. The front end of the trailer frame is carried by a. turntable on the transverse girders 2.
