Abstract

305,606. Smith, W. T., and Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd. Oct. 8, 1927. Hoods; opening tops. - A flexible shutter or vehicle roof is provided with a series of guiding and retaining members c slidably engaged in fixed channel members e screwed to the structure or body. The guides are provided with projections such as T-headed ends which prevent separation from the channel and may be secured to tapes f on the edges of the shutter. The guides may be anchored to the body by spring-controlled bolts g. The guiding members may be formed as a continuous member integral with the tape. The body &c. beneath the joints of the shutter may be provided with a drainage channel i having outlets k. The shutter may be wound on a roller or housed in any suitable manner.
