Abstract

305,462. Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., (Assignees of Moody, J. C.). Feb. 4,. 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 284,347. Check lift valves.-An annular non-return valve of the type described in the parent Specification has the loading and buffer springs. mounted on stepped projections on a central guide member. The valve unit which is held in place by a spring 11 engaging a removable cover plate 8 comprises a flanged seat 14a having parts 14<c> closed by a valve member 16 guided by ribs on a central member 15. The member 15 is held in a recess in the seat by a nut 20 engaging a pin 19 and is shouldered at 15b to form an abutment for the loading spring 17. The buffer spring 18 is made to press fit on the part 15b which may be made slightly tapered.
