Abstract

303,074. Royce, F. H. Aug. 19, 1927. Check elastic valves. -A spring loaded non- return valve has the valve member supported and guided by a double elliptical spring arranged so that the upper and lower leaves are forced apart as the valve opens. The valve member d' passed through a n aperture in the upper leaf of the spring and riveted over a washer d<2>. The upper and lower leaves are connected at their ends by rivets c<2> and the lower leaf is secured by screws to the casing on either side off the valve seat b. A renewable valve seat f may be fitted and a loading spring g may be arranged between the washer d<2> and a pin e<1> secured to the casing.
