Abstract

304,381. Canning Town Glass Works, Ltd., and Parnaby, J. J. April 18, 1928. Endless - chain conveyers with slat and lath carriers; attaching to chains. - An endless conveyer, particularly adapted for use in. glass-annealing leers, comprises thin corrugated metal slats 1 bridging spaced chains B which are composed of links 4, 6 having, on their upper edges 10, corrugations similar to those of the slats 1. As shown in Fig. 4, the pairs of links 4, 6 are formed with lugs 8 having holes 9 which register with apertures in the slats 1 to receive fixing-bolts 3, the latter having V-shaped heads adapted to fit into the channels of the corrugations. Asbestos or other lagging material may be interposed between the slats 1 and the chain links.
