Systems depending on static transformers.-In star connected polyphase apparatus, such as the winding 1 of a transformer, which is regulated by an induction regulator 3, 5, the series winding 3 of the regulator is connected between the windings 1 and their star point, so that the potentials between the windings of the regulator, and between these windings and earth, are small. The other winding 5 of the regulator is, in the case of transformer regulation, conveniently excited by an auxiliary secondary 7. The other main winding of the transformer is indicated at 6.
