Foot-arch supponts.-A foot-arch support comprising a stiffened or metallic plate 1 and a leather or other flexible cover 2 secured together bv rivets &c. is provided with a protecting pad 5 of rubber &c. slotted to engage over the front edge 4 of the plate 1 and having an upturned outer lipthe pressure on which tends to cause the pad 5 to grip on the plate 1. The pad 5 has a flap 7 which is secured, e.g. by adhesive, to the underside of the cover 2. The pad may be made in various shapes to fit over the front edge of different shapes of plate 1, and may be attached to the cover 2 before or after the plate and cover are secured together.
