Abstract

A splint bandaging material consists of flexible or rigid metal plate or basket work embedded in or coated on one side with sponge rubber. The latter may be coated with a film of rubber which may be perforated.ALSO:Splint bandaging material is coated on one side with or embedded in artificial sponge forming an indisplaceable elastic padding. The sponge may be of indiarubber or regenerated cellulose and may be coated with a film of rubber or cellulose perforated to allow absorption of secretions from the wound. The splint material may be flexible or rigid metal plate or basket work.
