Abstract
438,531. Pads for relieving shoe pressure. MEAKIN, F. A., Yewsley Cottage, Easebourne, Midhurst, Sussex. June 11, 1934, No. 17257. [Class 81 (ii)] A pad for relieving the toes of shoe pressure is of resilient material adapted to lie across the roots of the toes and furnished with one or more loops through each of which one or more toes are passed to secure it in position. A cylindrical pad 1 of sponge rubber, preferably of the non-communicating cell type, is enclosed in an envelope 2, e.g. of chamois leather, and is perforated for the passage of flexible loops 3. The envelope 2 may be omitted and the loops formed integral with the pad or secured therein during the moulding.
