Abstract

Foot-arch supports. -In foot-arch supports wherein an elastic band 20 extending around the foot is combined with a pad carrier, a transversely curved yieldable plate or leather piece 10 arranged within the band is attached at one edge 11 and forwardly and rearwardly of the band to a substantially semicircular lower plate or piece 13 to form a laterally open pocket for the reception of semi-circular pads 15 which are tapered towards the curved edge. The two ends of the band are connected by a seam 22 which is stitched to the upper piece 10, and the pads are retained within the pocket by a metal closure strip 27 which can be readily bent to effect removal or fixing.
