Indicators for displaying variable information. - A sign provided with h a hinged or detachable reversible panel for displaying additional alternative information, has the main sign characters, or those on the panel, or both, fitted with light-reflecting means. As illustrated, the panel 4 is mounted on trunnions 5 and can be reversed as shown in Fig. 2. 'The fixed part of the sign comprises cast metal letters on a metal base, but it may be constructed of wood with letters painted thereon. All the letters may be fitted with reflectors 8. The panel, instead of being hinged, may be detachable and removable bodily for reversal or replacement by another panel.
