Abstract

324,880. Lowndes, J. H. March 1, 1929. Signs of the daylightreflecting type have two mirrors for use alternately and to display different signs. With the parts as shown, a stencil 9 is reflected in a mirror 11 pivoted at 10. If this mirror be raised by means of a wire 14 the stencil 9 is shut out, while light falling on a second mirror 8 through the space A illuminates a stencil 12 carried by the mirror 11. The device is specially adapted for use on vehicles to indicate whether " engaged " or " for hire."
