Abstract

302,298. Burton, C. F., and Burton, H. Sept. 13, 1927. Variable resistances.- A rheostat e is mounted in a semicircular casing c adapted to stand on its diameter and to project perpendicularly from the supporting surface. The curved edge of the casing is graduated and a radial contact arm a is mounted on the device on the side remote from the graduations. If desired a number of such rheostats may be mounted in alignment with the contact arms secured to a common operating spindle passing through the pivot axis of the arms.
