Abstract

259,755. Eraut, W. Oct. 8, 1925. Barometers. - A divided segment A carried on arms B attached to a central boss C having a milled head D is used in aneroid barometers instead of the ordinary setting pointer. The zero is set over the indicating pointer F and any movement of the latter is read on the segment in tenths of an inch rise or fall. An opening G is made in the boss C through which can be seen any of the numbers 1 to 12 engraved on a disc carried by a spindle passing through the quadrant spindle and the boss and moved by a milled head I to indicate the time of setting.
