The rod e is connected by a cord h passing over a pulley k loose on the spindle l to a counterweight, while a lug m on the rod e is connected to a lug p attached to the cord h by a cord n passing over a pulley o fast on the shaft e. By manipulating fly-nuts s the pulley o and pointer may be moved relatively to the pulley k for adjusting the pointer to zero.
