301,555. Arnold, S. H., and Bradshaw, C. W. March 21, 1928. Plug cocks.-A plug cock 1 controlling the outlet of a cask or like container simultaneously regulates the venting through an external tube 9, a secondary twoway cock 13 in the tube 9 enabling the air supply to be independently shut off or further controlled. The tap 1 is formed with a main passage 2 and a secondary passage 3 putting an external orifice 6 into communication with a nozzle 8 to which the flexible or other pipe 9 is attached. The ports may be positioned or shaped so as to admit air to the container slightly in advance of the drawing off position.
