Abstract
301,449. Combeau, R. Nov. 30, 1927, [Convention date]. Pocket igniters; frictional. - The frictionwheel b and a serrated, cylindrical operating member d are fixed on a shaft c, the whole being mounted rotatably on screws e in supports f. A cap for the wheel and wick may be carried by an arm k pivoted in a tubular member m<1> or the cap may be pivoted on the shaft c, Grover washers or other means being provided between the cap and the wheel so that the cap is raised when the wheel is actuated and may be returned to the closed position without rotating the wheel. The arm k is held in the open or closed position by a spring-pressed ball in the member m<1> engaging notches in the inner end of the arm. The threaded closure plug for the flint-tube is provided with radial notches to facilitate manipulation. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that one or other of the supports f may be arranged between the wheel and the operating member . This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
