Stropping-apparatus.-In a device for stropping safety-razor blades a frame consisting of end plates b and longitudinal bars a is fitted with a spindle c having reduced ends c<1> on which are pivoted the end plates c of the blade holder f. A flexible strop d is passed under the bars a and over the spindle c. The ends m<1> of a spring operating-handle m pass through slots in the plates b and engage holes in the blade-holder to rock the latter about the spindle c. The ends m<1> also engage the lower arms of pivoted levers i, which serve to force the blade down on to the locating projections h on the holder, the blade being positioned by pressing the lower arms of the levers against the spring pressure of the handle m.
