300,039. Clark, G. M., (Matro Ges.). Dec. 24, 1927. Yeast preparations.-Dry yeast for curative and nutritive purposes is prepared by subjecting fresh moist yeast which may be washed with water or dilute alkaline solutions or yeast freshly dried by heating or pressure to extraction with pure or denatured alcohol at a temperature of 55-65‹ C., followed by pressing, washing, drying and roasting at temperatures of 150-160‹ C.
