Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.-In a ring-oiled bearing, rotary antifriction means are provided for ensuring continued rotation of the ring, even if the latter is subjected to side thrust, as by tilting of the bearing. As shown, the oiling ring 3 is separated from a wider encircling ring 5 by balls or rollers 8 engaging grooves in the rings, whereby, though the outer ring may come into contact with stationary parts of the bearing, the ring 3 can continue to rotate. The ring 5 may be formed as a cage, through which the balls project. Alternatively, balls of greater diameter than the width of the ring 3 may be mounted on the latter in a cage rigidly mounted on the ring.
